  • Department: St. Vincent Health Corps
  • Schedule: Full Time; Days - (3) 12-hour shifts/week. E very 3rd weekend rotation schedule, 1 major winter and summer holiday per year on rotating basis.
  • Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN
The Patient Monitor position supports patients in the hospital who required extra support during their care. This virtual position is in an office setting. The team is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented team member to join our mission in providing the best care for our patients!

Responsibilities

Provide observation and surveillance of assigned patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patients by use of video monitors.
  • Communicate and/or instruct patients by use of 2-way audio device.
  • Notify clinical staff of any changes in patient condition and/or safety risk level.
  • Complete documentation of observations of patient activities, patient behaviors and other safety & comfort related issues.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences

Healthcare experience preferred.
