Flexible Schedule & Shift Options: Minimum Requirement: At least two shifts per week . Typical Shifts: Between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM (local time, hours may vary). Full-Time: Minimum of 30+ hours per week with full benefits. Part-Time: Minimum of 2 shifts per week with paid sick time accrual available. On-Call & Weekend Work: May be required, with advance notice for personal commitments. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and manage acute and chronic wounds, including venous, arterial, diabetic, pressure, and post-surgical wounds. Perform debridement, NPWT management, tissue biopsies, and gastrostomy tube care. Monitor healing progress and adjust therapies based on clinical outcomes. Provide education and training on wound care for patients, caregivers, and facility staff. Maintain accurate, timely records in EHR systems. Travel daily to various care sites across California. Assist in workflow optimization and team training as needed for expansion. Qualifications: Required: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Active, unrestricted medical license in California. Board certification in a relevant specialty (Surgery preferred; OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine accepted). 3 to 6 years of clinical experience in wound care or related fields. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Reliable transportation and valid California driver’s license. Preferred: Wound Care Certification (CWSP, CWS) or intent to obtain within six months. DEA registration for prescription authority (preferred but not required). Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or home health settings. Familiarity with EHR systems and workflow tools. Compliance & Regulatory Notes: California regulations govern physician employment; please familiarize yourself with the Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM) Doctrine, prescriptive authority, and CME requirements.
