Happy Tails, a boutique, 100% privately owned, AAHA certified, hospital in West Garden Grove,CA and we are looking for a new veterinarian to join their family. Happy Tails was founded by Dr. Berka from the ground up in 2014 and has since expanded into a brand new space (as of February 2023). HTAH has all the bells and whistles of all the competitors (VetRay Digitial Xray, Abaxis In-house machines, state of the art surgical suites, etc). What it has, that many places do not, is an unconventional, intense support of the community and an amazing support staff. Duties:
- Diagnose and treat animals with illnesses and injuries
- Perform surgical procedures on animals
- Administer vaccinations and medications
- Conduct routine check-ups and preventive care for pets
- Provide guidance and education to pet owners on animal health and wellness
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care for animals
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid state license to practice veterinary medicine
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and diseases
- Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to interpret laboratory tests
- Effective communication skills to interact with pet owners and staff members
- Compassion and empathy towards animals and their owners
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism
*Note: Experience in dog training, practice management, or pet grooming is a plus but not required.*
