The Assembly Mechanic 1 is responsible for building low to medium complexity assemblies. The ideal candidate will be able to produce parts which have already completed first articles verification; Collaborate with other Assembly Mechanics to produce medium complexity assemblies, and is capable of the bonding and fabrication of a majority of subcomponents and lower-level detail parts.

Assembly Mechanic 1 Responsibilities:
• Learn to problem solve and troubleshoot producibility challenges;
• Build low to medium complexity assemblies and lower level detail parts;
• Exposure to processes within potting and bonding work center (Fill and fair, install insert and edge pot);
• Exposure to custom fabrication of parts, applying décor per finish requirements;
• With minimal assistance perform complex repairs on components as required by the customer;
• Exposure with shop equipment drill motors, pneumatic tools, band saws, drill presses, various tool grinders, Rivet gun and bucking bar, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner;
• Exposure in use of Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes;
• Exposure to electrical and structural part drawings;
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Shall possess, at a minimum, a High School diploma or GED
• Limited Experience to 3+ years' in the consuming electrical and structural aerospaceequivalent part drawings
• Limited Experience to 3+ years' interpreting, authoring and executing assembly and component test requirements
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude and knowledge of aerospace or other equivalent industry

Working Conditions:
• Standard machine shop environment.

Physical Requirements:
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for safe conduct on the manufacturing floor and to meet job responsibilities
